Step 1 – Open Your VELUX Window

Gently open your roof window so you can access the top edge of the sash (the moving part of the window).

The identification plate is not visible when the window is closed, so you will need to open it slightly to locate it.

Step 2 – Locate the Identification Plate

Once the window is open, look along the top edge of the sash. You’ll see a small metal plate or sticker fixed into the frame.

This plate contains important product details, including:

  • Model code
  • Size code
  • Additional manufacturing information

It’s usually silver, grey, or black with printed text.

Step 3 – Note Down the Window Code

On the plate, you’ll see a combination of letters and numbers.

For example:

  • GGL MK04
  • GGU CK02
  • GPL FK06

The size code (such as MK04, CK02 or FK06) is the most important part when selecting your blind. Make sure you copy it exactly as shown, including any letters.

Once you have this code, you can confidently choose the correct blind size in our calculator.

If you’re unsure or the label is worn or difficult to read, simply take a clear photo of the plate and contact us. We’ll be happy to help you confirm the correct window code before you place your order.

Telescopic Pole Control for VELUX Roof Windows and Blinds – ZCT 200K

If your VELUX roof window or blind is positioned just out of comfortable reach, the ZCT 200K telescopic pole provides a safe and convenient way to operate it. Designed specifically for manual VELUX products, this extendable control rod allows you to open centre pivot windows, raise or lower blinds, and adjust insect screens without the need for steps or ladders.

Whether your roof window is installed in a loft conversion, vaulted ceiling, or high stairwell, this telescopic control pole restores full accessibility.

Adjustable Length for Flexible Use

The ZCT 200K rod measures 100 cm in its closed position and extends smoothly up to 180 cm. This adjustable design allows you to tailor the reach depending on the height of your window or blind.

Manufactured in durable aluminium, the pole is lightweight yet strong, making everyday operation simple and controlled.

Compatible with VELUX Centre Pivot Roof Windows

This telescopic pole is suitable for operating:

  • VELUX GGL manual centre pivot roof windows

  • VELUX GGU manual centre pivot roof windows

It engages directly with the window’s operating bar, allowing smooth opening and closing even when installed higher up in the room.

Works with Manual VELUX Blinds and Screens

The ZCT 200K can also be used to operate a wide range of manually controlled VELUX blinds and accessories installed out of reach, including:

  • Blackout blinds (DKL, DKU)

  • Roller blinds (RFL, RFU)

  • Pleated blinds (FHL, FHU, FPL, FFU)

  • Venetian blinds (PAL, PAU)

  • Energy blinds (FHC)

  • Insect screens (ZIL)

If using this rod to operate manual VELUX blinds, an adaptor (ZOZ 085) is recommended for each blind to ensure proper engagement and smooth control.

Ideal for High-Level Roof Windows

Many loft rooms and extensions feature high-positioned roof windows to maximise daylight. While this improves light levels, it can make daily operation awkward. The ZCT 200K telescopic control rod solves this problem by giving you extended reach while maintaining full manual control.

It is particularly useful for:

  • Loft conversions

  • Rooms with high ceilings

  • Stairwells

  • Above-bed installations

  • Hard-to-reach blinds

Key Features

  • Adjustable length: 100 cm to 180 cm

  • Designed for manual VELUX centre pivot windows

  • Compatible with multiple VELUX manual blind ranges

  • Lightweight aluminium finish

  • Simple, safe operation from floor level
